CASE is a joint programme of strategic research led by DCMS in collaboration with Arts Council England, English Heritage and Sport England.
Building on the successful collaboration with our Arms Length Bodies, developed through Taking Part, to extend and enhance our evidence base, the CASE programme strengthens our understanding of how best to deliver high quality culture and sporting opportunities to the widest audience, bringing valuable benefits to society.
To directly influence culture and sports policy development through the development of a high-quality, cross-cutting, social and economic evidence base for our sectors.
CASE is divided in to six areas with icons to help navigation, the infographic below gives an overview of each area. Used together they create a toolkit to help deliver high quality culture and sporting opportunities:

Local Culture and Heritage Profile tool – A rich source of local information and culture and heritage data for better investment and cultural planning decisions.
Sport England Local Sport Profile tool – Bringing together data on sporting participation and provision to help local authorities.
Regional and Local Insights data – A guide for mapping your local culture and sport assets.
Mapping Asset Guidance – Enabling accurate information on existing cultural assets for better cultural planning.
